Hmm..

There's rarely, maybe no original melodies within this piece, with just little work on harmonies or counters, I know the concept is a mashup of three tracks, but there's parts, especially to a section thats sounds straight out of the orchestral version alongside the first version, and speaking of which, as the original mash up has a consistent story, with an intro, sections, and conclusion that feels fitted, whereas this one, was more of a 'I-wonder-how-much-I-can-stretch-the-idea', type track, hence the little exclussive changes, ignoring structure, and even then, the structure feels forced. Personally, I find the track quite uninspiring.

The section at 2:46, is spaced, and while it's good to have a break, it holds little identity as a cool-down rather than moving anything more forward, like parking a car at a race. I think more quirks like a melody or more play on percussions.

Also the little percussions used around the track, while definitely subjective, a bunch of the track feels empty and I have listened to this track five times in a row for more thoughts, and that's what coming: lifeless and just doing it, cause'.

The 1:18, 3:36, and 4:47 transitions, also feel abrupted in a forced way, and also overdone, especially that those kinds of transitions are usually impactful for various kinds changes but using them three times, all for them to transition to a soft stop, makes it feel repetitive and also regressive, and as said, each of these verses are weak, as with their build-up.

The usage of Glorious Morning, Burst, and Thunderzone, since already done before (THREE TIMES), this track should have given something unique to the table, first part is the introduction to the cinematic idea of the triple mix, the second one was more realted tot he preview version seen at the end of Age Of Flash alongside a Storm reference (See?) And of course a halloween remix, mixed with another's piece and they work so well together because they try building something new and also unexpected. This track here, doesn't bring anything new and it's 'journey' is only a stretch of the first idea, and I find that, in my opinion, boring.

Also there's more Burst than Glorious Morning in this mix so maybe have that in consideration. Also just because the tracks are inspired by electronic pieces and have drums and a very subtle electronic bass, I don't think is what makes the track, 'techno' (not trying to gatekeep genres but I'm just sayin').

I don't know if you're going through a writer's block or anything behind the scenes, if so, hopefully you'll be better soon.

Definitely sounds like you're 2012/2013 phase meets your modern self! I can tell this is old cause of how you used your staccatos, along with that more polished master and use of rhobes chords, love it!

Am I the only who feels some Just Shapes And Beats? Industrial metal meets chiptune makes a great mix and I find as an underrated idea.

GEOD1M responds:

The original idea was for it to resemble more of something like cyberpunk music. But im really glad you liked the genre mix!
